2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits, in so-called server log files. This includes:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the requested page or file
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- Browser type and version, operating system
- Amount of data transferred and HTTP status code
This data is required to deliver the website, to ensure its stability and security, and to detect and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of this website.
I have concluded a data processing agreement with IONOS in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, which ensures that IONOS processes the data only on my behalf and in compliance with the GDPR.
3. Visitor statistics
The hosting provider IONOS evaluates the server log files to generate anonymous visitor statistics (e.g. number of visits, pages viewed, browsers used, countries of origin). These statistics help me understand how the website is used and improve its content. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. It is not possible for me to identify individual visitors from these statistics.
4. Website security
This website uses the security plugin Kadence Security to protect it against attacks and misuse. For this purpose, the IP address of visitors, the username entered in login attempts, and the user ID of logged-in users may be logged in certain situations, for example during login attempts, requests for suspicious URLs, or changes to site content. These security logs are stored on the server of this website and are automatically deleted after 60 days.
The website is also regularly checked for malware and vulnerabilities by the Kadence Site Scanner. No personal data is actively transmitted in this process; however, the scanner may come across personal data that has been published on the website (for example, in comments).
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in protecting this website and its visitors from attacks.
5. Contact form
If you contact me via the contact form, the data you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) will be processed and stored in order to handle your inquiry and any follow-up questions. Providing this data is voluntary; only your email address is required so that I can reply to you.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in responding to inquiries sent to me. If your inquiry relates to entering into a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Your data will not be passed on to third parties. It will be deleted as soon as your inquiry has been fully dealt with and no further storage is necessary, at the latest after 3 months, unless you ask me to delete it sooner.
6. Comments
If you leave a comment on this website, the data you enter in the comment form (name, email address, optionally a website, and the comment itself) is stored, along with your IP address and your browser’s user agent string. The IP address and user agent are used to detect spam and to be able to take action in case of unlawful content. Your email address is not published.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in offering a comment function and protecting it against misuse.
Comments and their associated data are stored for as long as the comment remains published on this website. This also allows follow-up comments from the same person to be approved automatically. You can ask me at any time to delete your comment and the associated data.
7. Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes. Cookies are only set in the following cases:
- Comment cookies: When you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies so you don’t have to enter them again next time. These cookies are only set with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG) and are stored for one year.
- Login cookies: For the login area, which is only used by the administrator of this website, technically necessary cookies are set to manage the login session and display settings, including a cookie set by Kadence Security to secure the login process. These cookies are required for the operation of the login function (§ 25(2) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
8. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar of your browser.
